Our Post-Operative Care Training is an intensive two-day course designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to care for clients recovering from cosmetic surgery. This comprehensive program, structured into two eight-hour sessions, includes hands-on training with live models, a detailed manual, and access to all necessary equipment, such as an ultrasonic physiotherapy machine, red light therapy machine, and massage bed.
Training Overview
Day 1: Understanding Post-Operative Care Essentials
• Introduction to Post-Operative Care: Overview of different cosmetic procedures (e.g., liposuction, tummy tuck, BBL) and common post-surgical needs.
• Sanitation & Safety Protocols: Best practices for maintaining a clean, sterile environment to prevent infection and ensure client safety.
• Wound Care & Drain Management: Techniques for monitoring and managing post-operative incisions and drains, including changing dressings and identifying signs of complications.• Equipment Training: Hands-on training with an ultrasonic physiotherapy machine and red light therapy machine, including their functions, settings, and proper use to aid recovery and reduce swelling.
• Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage Techniques: Instruction on lymphatic drainage techniques to reduce swelling, minimize bruising, and promote healing, with practical demonstrations on models.
Day 2: Advanced Techniques and Client Support
• Advanced Massage Techniques for Post-Operative Care: Step-by-step instruction on gentle, targeted massage techniques designed to relieve discomfort and support the body’s natural healing processes.
• Using Red Light Therapy: Training on the application of red light therapy to improve healing, reduce inflammation, and support tissue repair.
• Client Education & Aftercare: Strategies for educating clients on post-surgery care, including at-home techniques, lifestyle recommendations, and the importance of following aftercare instructions.
• Practice on Live Models: Hands-on practice with live models to apply all techniques learned, ensuring trainees gain real-world experience and confidence.
• Business and Client Management: Insights into managing a post-operative care practice, building client trust, and understanding legal considerations in this specialized field.
